ABOUT DENSITY FELLOWS

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Density 2036 project, we launched the Density
Fellows program in 2023! The program supports an international cohort of emerging flutists in a
two-year fellowship focused on the performance and recording of repertoire in the Density
catalog. Fellows receive mentorship from Claire Chase and the Density composers throughout
the fellowship period, and they receive a stipend to support their performance and recording
projects. Read about the inaugural class of Density Fellows — who hail from the United States,
Mexico, Finland, Uzbekistan, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, and Hungary — and their exciting
projects below.
