Malin Sieberns
Malin Sieberns is a Berlin-based flutist. She is an active performer in the contemporary music scene in Berlin and has been heard at many festivals. This includes Klangwerkstatt Festival Berlin, Messiaen Tage Görlitz, Berliner Originaltöne and Klangspuren Schwaz. 2016 she was awarded with the first prize for her performance at Eisler Forum. She took part in multi-disciplinary projects as a flutist, including dance and instant painting and is interested in including improvisations and her own compositions in her playing. She holds bachelor's degrees in instrumental training and instrumental pedagogy from UdK Berlin. Currently, she is studying for a master's with a focus on new music at HMDK in Stuttgart. Furthermore, she was part of the flute studio at Darmstädter Ferienkurse in 2021 and took part in the summer academies of Ensemble Recherche and Ensemble Modern. She likes to work closely with composers in creating new pieces and premiered many works in the last years, as a soloist and in her ensembles. She is a member of Kollektiv Unruhe, Ensemble Compas, Ensemble Rubin and georg katzer ensemble.
