Dr. Claudia Aizaga is an Ecuadorian flutist, educator, and arts leader whose work focuses on contemporary music, music education, and cultural exchange. She is the founder and Executive Director of SonAlt Arts, a non-profit organization that empowers emerging artists and fosters cultural exchange with Latin America through interdisciplinary collaborations between music and other creative arts. Through SonAlt, she expands access to contemporary music internationally, including through an annual music festival in Ecuador.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Aizaga is dedicated to performing works by living and underrepresented composers. She curates and commissions new works for solo flute and flute with electronics and collaborates with artists across disciplines. Through these collaborations, Aizaga has been featured as a guest artist at the Festival Internacional Perla del Pacífico (Guayaquil), Festival Internacional de Flautistas en el Centro del Mundo (Quito), Pueblos de América Foundation (Quito), Interlochen Center for the Arts, Western Illinois University, Louisiana State University, and more.

Aizaga maintains a private flute studio and performs throughout Minnesota through educational programs, school performances, and artist residencies. As a bilingual educator, she works with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, making music education accessible. Aizaga serves as Vice President of the Upper Midwest Flute Association and sits on the board of both the Minnesota Winds and the Minnesota Youth Symphonies. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Music from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Northern Iowa.
